Tracker Specifications

NowForce supports the personal and vehicle (AVL) GPS trackers. Trackers can be used to report locations and trigger incidents on behalf of users, units or assets in the system.

Tracker devices should meet the following requirements:

  • SIM card with 2G or higher support
    • Recommended 4G/5G
    • Minimum 30 MB data package per month
  • Send locations and incident data over GPRS (TCP or HTTP protocol)
  • Recommended GPS accuracy less than 5m
  • SOS button - optional
  • Configurable buttons for phone calls - optional
  • Programmable configurations:
    • Program the device through USB or SMS commands (OTA)
    • Reporting URL for locations and incident reporting (SOS)
    • Location reporting frequency
    • Emergency contacts phone numbers - optional

Supported Devices

Configuring Trackers

  • Follow the manufacturer 's set up instructions.
  • Set the GPRS reporting URL as tcp.nowforce.com
  • Configure the port according the the port number provided by NowForce Support.
  • Take note of the Tracker’s IMEI to be used in the NowForce configuration.

Configuring the Tracker Device in NowForce

  • Trackers can be associated to Engaged Reporters or Responder licenses.
  • It is recommended to configure the user as a Virtual User.

  • In the Mobile Device tab of the User's settings enter the tracker’s IMEI and Device ID.
  • Contact NowForce Support to test the location and SOS from the Tracker.
